About

Interprofessional Education (IPE) at the University of Oklahoma Health Campus prepares students from multiple health professions to learn about, from, and with one another to strengthen teamwork, communication, and collaborative practice. Through shared learning experiences, simulations, community engagement, and clinical activities, students develop the skills needed to work effectively as members of healthcare teams and provide high-quality, patient-centered care.

As one of the nation's few comprehensive academic health campuses, OU brings together learners from allied health, dentistry, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, public health, social work, and other disciplines to address real-world healthcare challenges through collaboration. The OU IPE model integrates learning opportunities across the educational continuum, helping students build the competencies necessary for team-based practice while improving health outcomes for Oklahoma communities.

Through innovative programs such as simulations, All Professions Day, and the nationally recognized Unity Clinic, OU Health Campus Interprofessional Education program fosters a culture of collaboration that prepares future healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated, compassionate, and effective care.
